The recreational area in Patince is a very popular place for many people for the past several decades thanks to its favourable location, thermal springs and pleasant, quiet environment. According to the legend, Roman soldiers used to come from a nearby Roman camp in Iža to have a bath here. The thermal spring Hévíz with the water temperature 27 °C made a vast lake here. The mud from the lake has always been used for the curative purposes.
